Welcome

We are back at with a second try at this blog stuff. This one is going to be diffrent as we have no choice but to keep the date and we don't have to choose a location =)

I have been feeling pretty good throughout the pregnancy, just exhausted. I am definitely feeling like I am getting bigger, I have gained 4lbs so far. I have also been very emotional, I cry for everything and get angry about really weird stuff (I hear this is normal though). One thing that has surprised me is everything that tis affected by pregnancy, I always thought a woman just gets big and has a baby, boy was I wrong. People don't tell you everything that is associated with pregnancy, they only talk about the good stuff. Everyone has had an opinion on whether it is a boy or a girl, but I'm not sure. But, overall things are looking good so far.

Well, right now I am 18 weeks and this baby is growing fast! Yesterday we went for our second ultrasound and it was a very emotional and exciting experience for Abe and I. Unlike the first ultrasound, we could actually make out what we were looking at, OUR BABY!!! The first thing that we saw when the ultrasound tech turned on the machine was the baby opening his or her mouth (that's right we opted out on finding out the sex of the baby). Abe's mouth dropped, he was very quiet during the entire ultrasound. The baby was much bigger than I expected and was moving a lot, I have not felt it moving yet. At one point he or she even stretched their legs staight. I cried a little bit, I just couldn't hold it in my baby was moving! The ultrasound tech was great, she explained all of the measurements she took and pointed out all of the baby's little features to us. She even printed out 13 pictures for us! This was the most exciting part of the pregnancy for me up to this point, but I'm sure there is more to come. ~ Valarie
